Happy New Year you guys! 2020 certainly wasn’t the hurrah we thought it would be. Personally, we checked off mental funks, breakdowns, loss of motivation (heh exhibit A with this hiatus), feeling lost in life, and not being able to be with our loved ones. But on the flip side, it also gave way to moments of soul searching, recalibration on what really mattered, reconnected friendships (never thought we could feel this much love over Zoom calls!), and taking time to really step back and appreciate what we took for granted. So here’s to a wiser us and another year for lessons and memories to be made. Wherever you are in life, you got this! Cheers🥂

Feeling a tad nostalgic as I see students posting about their experiences heading back to school (or are starting their freshman year!) We met our crew of friends all by the sheer coincidence of sharing the same dorm floor together. Over the years, we learned each other’s pet peeves, shimmied to Shakira’s “Hips Don’t Lie” more times than we’d care to admit, let each other in with our greatest fears and dreams, and cooked up Mac & cheese at ungodly hours because what is a healthy diet. We became a home away from home.

If you’re thinking about a good buddy or loved one while reading this, take this as a sign to check in with them, whether it’s over a quick text or phone call. Who cares if it’s been ages since you last spoke? This is a better time than ever to reconnect and I’m sure they miss you too 🙂

I was surprised to learn that I managed to finish 9 books (!!) in the past month and a half, my personal record in voluntary reading – practically ever, so I’m very proud of myself!
